From the Instructor
My goal is to make physics interesting and digestible for all students. I incorporate hands-on learning, and I strive
to ensure my classes are fun and exciting while maintaining the rigor parents and students expect from a physics
class. Honors Physics will incorporate math; however, this course is not calculus-based. This class is designed to be
accessible to any student who is interested in how the world works.
Honors Physics is taught from a Christian worldview.

Course Description

This course introduces students to the foundational science: physics. In this class, we will use observation,
experimentation, and reason to explore the fundamental theories and laws that explain how the world works.
Honors Physics meets in-person one time each week; additionally, students will have access to video lessons
between classes. Students will be expected to complete approximately 2-3 hours of homework each week
between classes. We will cover an array of topics, including:
-
Newton's Laws of Motion
-
Energy and Momentum
-
Projectiles
-
Forms of Matter
-
Thermodynamics
-
Sound
-
Wave Physics
-
Electromagnetism
-
Atomic Physics
-
Light and Radiation
-
Space Physics
